Even Johann Wolfgang von Goethe remarked the town was worth a visit just for its “roses and steeds”. Zweibrücken’s landmark is the “Europe’s Rose Garden” cultural park, dating back over 90 years, an oasis of 60,000 roses surrounded by pools and ponds. There is an annual horse show in March, rose display at the beginning of June (“Rosentage”), the town festival in July and the Franco-German “Euroklassik” festival in September and October. Shopping freaks will enjoy “Designer Outlets Zweibrücken“.
